Snake-Spectacle Set For Equinox
Although the Spring Equinox is a global phenomenon, only in Mexico can you see a feathered snake slither across a pyramid. This incredible display happens at Chichen-Itza, the Mayan ruin in Yucatan State. March 21 is the day of the Spring Equinox, and as the sun rises on the Yucatan Peninsula, thousands of people gather together to witness the afternoon shadow of the snake-god Kukulcan, slowly crawling down Chichen-Itza’s largest pyramid, El Castillo.

But perhaps the grandaddy of all Cinco de Mayo festivals is staged in the colonial city of Puebla near where it all began. Get your camera ready, brush up on your Spanish and head to Puebla for this remarkable fest.
Festival Del Caballo in Ensenada
It's perhaps like nothing you have ever seen before, Ensenada's annual Festival Del Caballo, a celebration of fine horses, wine from area vineyards, and Baja culture at its finest. Scheduled for May 27, the event features all types of family activities. You'll discover a gallery of art of explore featuring artists from all across the Baja region and the interior of Mexico. In addition, folklorico dancers will perform throughout the event, adding color and excitement.
La Paz "Peaceful Mexico"
Remember when escaping to Mexico meant seeing very few tourists, the only hotels available were family owned, meals were cheap and FANTASTIC, and the pace was slow and easy. That slice of life still exists in La Paz, Mexico. While there are some very fine resorts and modern conveniences in the area, it has never lost its old world charm unlike other regions of Mexico that  have suffered from over development.
